A. Each program group within Microsoft is setting its own support policy for virtualization, which includes Hyper-V. To check whether a particular Microsoft product is supported on Hyper-V, you need to consult the support policy for the product in question. At time of this writing, Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2007 SP1 and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 SP1, and SQL Server 2008 all support Hyper-V, as I’ll explain in more detail in subsequent FAQs.
